Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JACIS undergo a structured and rigorous editorial and peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, and scientific contribution. JACIS implements a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

Initial Screening (Desk Evaluation).

Upon submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief to assess: (a) Relevance to the journal’s scope; (b) Compliance with submission guidelines and formatting standards; (c) Ethical considerations and authorship declaration; (d) Similarity check results (plagiarism screening); (e) Manuscripts that fail to meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.

Peer Review Stage.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to a Handling Editor, who will invite at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research background, and publication record. The review process follows a double-blind mechanism to ensure impartiality and fairness. In cases of significantly conflicting review reports, an additional reviewer may be appointed to provide further evaluation.

Editorial Decision.

Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions: (a) Accepted; (b) Minor Revision; (c) Major Revision; (d) Rejected. The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief upon recommendation from the Handling Editor and, when necessary, consultation with the Editorial Board.

Revision stage.

Authors are required to submit the revised manuscript within the period specified in the editorial notification. If the revised manuscript is not submitted within 6 (six) months from the revision decision date, the submission will be considered inactive. Authors who wish to proceed after this period must submit the manuscript as a new submission and follow the editorial process from the beginning. Revised manuscripts are evaluated to ensure that authors have adequately addressed reviewers’ comments. The editorial team may request additional revisions if necessary

Final decision.

A manuscript will be accepted for publication only if it demonstrates sufficient academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance to the journal’s scope. If the manuscript fails to meet the required standards after revision, it will be rejected.
